Polyurethane Foam: High density polyurethane foam is the latest advancement in mudjacking technology. This material is extremely lightweight and provides superior advantages over traditional mudjacking materials.
Cement-Based Grout: Cement grouts can have very high compressive strengths, mostly depending on the cement proportions within the mix design. In regards to concrete lifting, cement grouts work well to lift concrete, but with several drawbacks. Installation equipment requires extensive cleaning during and after the process. In addition, the mixing operation can create unwanted dust and greatly impacts nearby areas.
Non-Cement Grout: The term "mudjacking" was coined as early contractors mixed organic soils with water, creating a very mud-like substance. This early material worked well for lifting concrete, but had very weak structural characteristics. Even today, some contractors utilize a mudjacking grouts that do not contain cement as this material will never harden in their mixing equipment.
