Polyurethane Injections for Soil Stabilization

Resin injections can greatly improve the structural properties of underlying soils.

Soil Stabilization: Engineered Foundation Technologies ("EFT") provides cost-effective solutions to Engineers and Municipalities facing difficult problems with poor soils. In some cases, polyurethane injections are a cost-effective method for stabilizing subsoils. The soil stabilizer can ultimately help strengthen a layer of soil and provide great resistance to water pemeation as well.

The process: Selective soils drilling is peformed at strategically placed locations around the leaking utility. A single-component liquid polyurethane is then injected into the surrounding soils. The liquid polyurethane then locks all the soil particles together in a water-tight barrier. This eco-friendly material can cost effectively help seal leaking manholes, saving municipalities significant expenses in additional water treatment and alternative repair methods.
