Subsurface voids pose a serious problem to engineers, contractors, and the general public alike. Great problems arise when a buried void is discovered at a construction site, causing delays, increase costs, and a potential threat to safety at the job site. Unfortunately, there are sometimes little indications of an underground void at ground surface.
In come cases, water erosion can lead to void space underneath concrete structures. A large void will leave an unsupported length of concrete, which can then be prone to rapid settlement. This is extremely disruptive to existing businesses and warehouses, as construction could greatly impact their operations.
EFT provides clients with a variety of materials for void filling, including polyurethane grouts, lightweight cellular grouts and other cost effective mixes.
