Concrete Repair and Rehabilitation

Warped Slab Repair | Polyurethane Foam Technology

This phenomena can be caused by differing moisture conditions on the bottom of the slab and the top.   When one side of the slab dries at a different rate than the other, a differential shrinking results in a curved deformation of the concrete.

Heavy forklift traffic then causes great distress to warped concrete slabs, resulting in rapid deterioration of the concrete floor.  Cracks will open and pits may develop at the cold joints as well.

Polyurethane foam can greatly help extend the service life of warped slabs.   This high-tech material can rapidly fill underslab voids, helping stabilize the floor against forklift traffic.   In most cases, the floor can be stabilized within minimal disruption to the facility.
